These drawings are intended for the kids, but hey--you adults can play along too! And it's okay to admit that you still use crayons, really. My wife got me a big box of Crayolas for my birthday a couple of years ago, and it's one of the best presents I ever got! (Yes it's true--she really understands me!)

I originally did these because I was approached by several educators and homeschoolers who were disappointed to find that it was next to impossible to find coloring books with owls in them, and those that had them typically had great horned owls. So I was happy to jump in and provide barn owls--especially our favorite little brood!

One Month Coloring Page All Four Outside the Box

All four of the owlets are outside the box and out in "the playground."

It's Molly and the four babies at around the time shortly after Wesley hatched. This was actually the first time I had ever atttempted a coloring book page, so I had to do a bit of research to see about line weights, how much detail to give the children (versus letting them explore on their own), and that kind of thing. I think they turned out well, and were very popular.

small product photo McGee in Flight

When first getting going, I did a lot of images of McGee, because I felt he was the one we never got to see much of (except for his legs--briefly, a couple of times a night). So I particularly wanted to depict him in flight, hence this image.

One Month Coloring Page Molly and the Owlets at One Month of Age

I did this one at around the time that Max reached one month out of the shell. They all had various amounts of fluffy clumps of the downy feathers.
